Blended learning

Blended learning is a term that can be interpreted in several ways. At Utrecht University, we use the explanation offered by Horn and Staker (2012), which is defined as the integration of online and on-campus education. Each course arranges the relationship between online and on-campus elements differently, but it is important that the various elements are efficiently coordinated and that they reinforce one another (Garrison and Vaughan, 2008).
